MINGO • April 5, 2023, 6:00 pm

MINGO is at The Pond every Wednesday, start time around 6PM

So what is MINGO? Well, the best way to describe it is that it's musical Bingo. Rather than calling out numbers, music clips are played to match song titles on the MINGO card!  Each round is a different themed MINGO card.  The winner of each round draws a prize coupon from the fish bowl!

Trivia Challenge • April 6, 2023, 7:00 pm

The Pond has hosted Thursday Trivia Challenge for about 15 years now, resulting in a database of thousands of questions. We try to keep our Trivia fresh, fun and a bit irreverent. The game begins at 7pm; we encourage teams to come in early for dinner and our HALF PRICE WINE by the bottle special from 5pm to 9pm.

HOW TO PLAY

ROUND 1

-Each “General Question” is worth 5 points each. Three of the four rounds will be themed, with the fourth being a potpourri of categories. There is no set standard for which rounds will be what.

-You have ONE double down for the round. It’s quite simple. If you are positive of you answer and you would like to double down, check that double down box. If you get it right, you will receive 10 points! HOWEVER, if you are incorrect, you will LOSE 5 points! Be careful!

-After the generic questions, there will be a SONG that is played with three questions associated with that song. You will receive 5 points if you get one correct, 10 points if you get two correct and 20 points if you get all three! Your Double Down or Lifeline cannot be used for these questions.

ROUND 2

-Each “General Question” is worth 5 points each. Three of the four rounds will be themed, with the fourth being a potpourri of categories. There is no set standard for which rounds will be what.

-You have ONE double down for the round. It’s quite simple. If you are positive of you answer and you would like to double down, check that double down box. If you get it right, you will receive 10 points! HOWEVER, if you are incorrect, you will LOSE 5 points! Be careful!

-After the generic questions, there will be a FAST ACTION Round. We will ask you 5 questions in a row. You have THREE minutes to answer them all. You will receive 5 points for each correct answer you receive, for a total possible of 25 points!

HALF TIME BONUS

-For the half time bonus there will be ONE question in which you can wager ALL of the points you have accrued thus far. Just be aware that if you answer incorrectly, you will LOSE all of your wagered points!

Note: wagering during tournament play may be different.

RANDOM GAME NOTES.

-DO OVERS: In the event that no team receives the correct response, the hosts will determine if a DO OVER question will be asked. This will highly be determined on whether or not time will allow.

-At the end of each round, the host will announce the accumulated scores for each team; Only AFTER these scores are announced will teams be permitted to contest SCORES and ANSWERS. In order to keep the game moving, please do not approach the host after each question. If a correction needs to be made, everything will be adjusted all teams will be notified. Time will be allotted for prior to the game continuing and/or the reading of a bonus question.

PRIZES (in the form of Pond Prize Coupon for food or Pond merchandise): 1st place=$25; 2nd place=$15; 3d place=$10

Lower Case Blues performs every Thursday around 9PM here at The Pond. 

Lower Case Blues is a jammin' trio that plays a new fusion of old blues, funk, and rock!  Beginning in 2003, LCB has been giving Delaware and the tri-state area some of the best blends of blues and rock music.
