This Week at The Pond, JAZZ FEST!

As always, The Pond will have LOTS of music as part of Rehoboth Beach Jazz Fest weekend, and our lineup is a bit different this year.  Friday October 13th kicks of with TEAR THE ROOF OFF at 5:30pm.  Then at 9:30pm we have OCTAVIA BLUES BAND. On Saturday, NO BYSCUYTS starts the day at 1:30pm.  THE DIVAS OF ONE LOVE will be performing at 5:30pm.  At 10pm, something less jazzy, ELECTRIC VELVET.  And of course on Sunday evening we have the best blues in Delaware with LOWER CASE BLUES.

In downtown Rehoboth Beach, the need to feed the parking meters is over until next Memorial Day.  So come into town and enjoy all that it has to offer!  We have another band debuting at The Pond this Friday night at 10pm called Some Odd Reason!  And SKRIBE will be making his last appearance for 2017 at The Pond for Friday Happy Hour.  If you haven’t seen SKRIBE perform, this is your last opportunity for 2017!!

This Week at The Pond

We have more than A LOT going on this week at The Pond. 

Our store, 1st & Pond which is next door at 7 South 1st Street, will have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, September 22 at 11am.  The store’s official Grand Opening will be on Saturday, September 23 and will include MEET THE ARTISTS from 1pm to 3pm.

As a Kodiak Sponsor for Rehoboth Beach Bear Weekend, The Pond will be hosting BEAR BINGO on Thursday, September 21, starting at 9:30pm.  Prizes include some Pond Swag!  Click here for more information about Bear Weekend

And on Sunday, September 24, The Pond will open at 9am for a Ravens Breakfast.  Why are we calling it Ravens Breakfast?  The Baltimore Ravens will be playing at Wembley Stadium in the U.K. at 9:30am and we will have our TVs on the game!

Greetings from The Pond!  We had a great time on our first NFL SUNDAY FUNDAY of the season and hope you did too! Thanks for the great turn-out.

This upcoming Thursday, September 14th is the start of our Trivia Challenge.  We have made lots of changes to the format and hope everyone enjoys the game!

THE FOUR ZONES for WEEK 1
There are four established zones at The Pond, each with it’s own sound system, to watch and listen to specific games.  If you’re fans of the Eagles, Ravens, Redskins or Steelers, you can count on their games being in a sound zone!

Whether your an NFL fan or not, we have plenty of contests to keep the fun going all day! 

1.  Dinner For Two

Wear a Jersey/Shirt/Hoodie representing your team (or any team) and receive one chance to enter our weekly drawing for Dinner for Two (two entrees plus soup or salad).  The winner is announced at the conclusion of our Game of the Week. 
 
2.  Bottle Cap Jar Contest
We’ve been collecting Bottle Caps all summer and filled a jar.  Guess the amount of bottle caps in the jar to win a $100 gift card (closest without going over).  Winner announced during Week 17 Sunday games. One entry per person.
3.  Spin The Wheel – Game of the Week
Actually Davey will be spinning the wheel and choosing the Game of the Week.  When either team scores, and at the end of each quarter, Davey will spin the wheel and announce the selected prize and customers will have a few minutes to tell the server/bartender they wish to claim the prize.  Prizes include 1/2 off certain food items, discounted shooter prices, chance to order a Combo Platter, $1 Jello shots, $5 OFF coupon for your choice of team colored football light at our store, 1st & Pond and lots more!
 

4.  25% OFF your tab!

Game Pick-Em – pick the winner of every 1:00 game correctly and receive 25% off your total bill.  Entries must be submitted to Davey BEFORE 1pm.  Winner must be present to win!

5.  Eagles – Cowboys Game on New Year’s Eve

Enter to win TWO tickets to the Eagles – Cowboys game in Philadelphia on December 31st.  Spend $25 at The Pond and receive a drawing card to enter.  One entry per week.

Labor Day Weekend has come to a close and we are looking forward to a great fall with all of you!   In addition to LIVE music, we will begin our NFL Sundays on September 10th with a new Sunday Funday Football Menu and some awesome activities to make the afternoon fun for all, and to win some great prizes!!

It’s nearly impossible to believe that the end of the summer season is upon us and Labor Day weekend is almost here!  We had a wonderful summer and hope everyone who came to The Pond had an awesome experience!  This Labor Day weekend is the last Sunday for Lyric Drive, so if you haven’t caught them yet, here’s your last chance!  NFL Sundays begin September 3rd and we have a whole of fun stuff happening for football.  Stay tuned! 

In the meantime, we welcome the Rehoboth Beach Bears’ FURst Friday on Friday (of course) at 6pm followed by Seaschell Karaoke around 8:30pm. And, our Labor Day Dance Party is Saturday, September 2nd at 9:30pm.  No cover.
